Wie werden NSCD Labor-Diamanten hergestellt? Laborgefertigte Diamanten werden mit zwei Verfahren zur Herstellung von Diamanten in Edelsteinqualität hergestellt: High Pressure-High Temperature (HPHT) und Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). Bei beiden Verfahren wird ein kleiner Diamantkeim in eine Umgebung gebracht, die Kohlenstoff, den atomaren Bestandteil von Diamant, enthält. Unter entsprechend kontrollierten Bedingungen wächst der Diamant Atom für Atom, Schicht für Schicht und bildet so den Prozess der Natur nach. Wie unterscheiden sich die im NSCD-Labor hergestellten Diamanten von den natürlichen Diamanten? Beide haben die gleichen physikalischen, chemischen und optischen Eigenschaften und treten als Rohdiamanten auf. Beide haben die gleiche Härte, das gleiche spezifische Gewicht, den gleichen Brechungsindex und den gleichen Dispersionsfaktor; sie werden mit den gleichen Geräten und Techniken geschliffen und haben die gleiche Brillanz, das gleiche Funkeln, das gleiche Feuer und die gleiche Szintillation. Beide sind in der Tat Diamanten. Wie lassen sich NSCD-Labordiamanten und diamantähnliche Materialien vergleichen? Sie tun es nicht. Kubisches Zirkonium, Moissanit und diamantbeschichtete Materialien sind keine Diamanten. Diese werden in der Industrie als "Simulanzien" bezeichnet. Diese Materialien haben im Vergleich zu Diamant völlig andere physikalische Eigenschaften.

How are NSCD lab-created diamonds made? Lab-created diamonds are produced using two gem-quality diamond manufacturing processes: High Pressure-High Temperature (HPHT) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). In both processes, a small diamond seed is placed in an environment containing carbon, the atomic component of diamond. Under appropriately controlled conditions, the diamond grows atom by atom, layer by layer, replicating nature's process. How do the diamonds produced in the NSCD lab differ from natural diamonds? Both have the same physical, chemical and optical properties and occur as rough diamonds. Both have the same hardness, specific gravity, refractive index, and dispersion factor; they are cut with the same equipment and techniques; and they have the same brilliance, sparkle, fire, and scintillation. Both are, in fact, diamonds. How do NSCD lab-grown diamonds and diamond-like materials compare? They don't. Cubic zirconium, moissanite and diamond-coated materials are not diamonds. These are referred to as "simulants" in the industry. These materials have completely different physical properties compared to diamond.
