Item Description

Photographic journey in the Sila plateau, Calabria, Italy

The Sila is a vast plateau in the Calabria region, in southern Italy.

It is the largest plateau in Europe, which extends for 150,000 hectares, characterized by the presence of various mountain peaks, valleys, lakes, immense woods and forests of beech, pine and fir trees, such as to be considered the green lung of the Mediterranean.

A natural heritage where the diversity of landscapes, the variety of animal and plant species and the beauty of the places have made it opportune to set up the Sila National Park which protects its treasures.

From research and laboratory analyzes carried out throughout Europe, it emerges that in the Sila plateau you can breathe the cleanest air in Europe, even cleaner than that of the Svalbard islands, near the North Pole.

The photos in this ebook were taken with a simple smartphone, at an amateur level, and give an idea of the extraordinary beauty of nature, wild and uncontaminated, able to give unforgettable emotions.

If you come on holiday in Calabria, I would be happy to be your hiking guide, of course free of charge.

Ebook in PDF format.
